Emotional Journey Exploring the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City

    Buying a watch is like buying a car for yourself. You need to understand and know the requirements of your life and what functions you need. I never owned a T-Touch myself but another Tissot. (Was working as a waiter on cruise ships and and decided to go a Titanium chrono instead). What is important to note here that these watches came out in 1999. Pre-Apple Watch era. These were the first multifunctional tool-watches with printed circuit-boards in that time and functions that were very new at that time. I backpacked close to 10 years in South-East Asia. These would help you tremendously on the road.

    Very weird review. You seem to not like this watch and you seem to not like yourself for buying it. You insult the watch and call it ugly, which also insults the taste of the people that like it. Would you walk up to someone and call their wife ugly? I hope not. Yet you have no problem calling a watch someone probably loves just as much as his wife ugly. You seem to have bought this watch out of boredom or something. All you talk about is getting swag from watch dealers. That's really weird. The last thing I think about is scamming the AD out of a leather jacket when I go to buy a watch. You also used a picture of a girl that looks like she might be an illegally sexualized minor. Overall you seem like a freak and a weirdo. I see how hostile and defensive you can be in your replies to other comments, so don't bother writing back. I won't be checking back, freak.

      Yes I would you walk up to someone and call their wife ugly if I thought so. Why are you scared to hurt someones feeling? Did you watch the full video or you didn't understand when I said it a beautiful ugly watch that i like. I love my wife and not a watch maybe you love your watch more then your family. You do you boo. Why is it weird to tell people the story about how I got the watch? What are are you talking about? do you mean the 35 year old manager of the IWC watch dealer in HK? Did you not the very cool tattoo? how old do you need to be to get a tattoo where you're from? You see a 35 year old woman and see a child? Overall you seem like a freak and a weirdo. I'm sure you will check bank but are a coward to reply. Keep loving watches but stop looking at picture of a girl that looks like they might be an illegally sexualized minor.

    Vostok was built with combat wear in mind: cheap to buy, cheap to replace. Just like a Casio. In WW2 and Vietnam field watches were meant to be use up until battles made them disposable. special ops buy Casio G shock for same reason. Nothing lasts forever. a woman was gifted a Rolex and for some reason she shattered the sapphire crystal ruining the watch. Did that make the Rolex a piece of crap? No. That nice timepiece was gifted to a brute. Every commentator encouraged the man to get his wife a Casio G shock. She will have a hard time destroying it. An acrylic lensed watch will take a beating and then some. Again, cheap to buy, cheap to replace, if necessary. My dad owned a Longines mechanical wind up, but he overwound it. One day I will have it fixed.

      @TheNomadsLens It's not a priority. Busy schedule. It has a square like case, 33mm ish size, and diamonds for where the indices normally are. Too dainty for my tastes. What I like about it is it's a hard wind. same with the similar looking wittenaur (sp).it would be a restore project. When done, probably wear to a formal event.

    Rescently ordered 2 vostok amphibias from Russia. recieved the videos of the watches yesterday, the packaging now is miles ahead then before with a lovely box. The watch is well protected and looks very well built, the stainless steel strap though not the best, but still quite ahead of some of the cheaper seiko snx variants, 200m water resistance which is way less of a claim then what it can actually do, shock proof mechanism. it's like a mechanical g-shock. all that for under 90 dollars a piece seems lika a bargin. I'd suggest get a good Amphibia model and do a review it

    Well buddy, if you don't like Vostok, do not buy them. I, for one, would buy and keep it and wear it like a beater watch. You can also mod them to your hearts content: new bezel, new strap. Some even changed the small seconds Amphibian Scuba dude dial to a space themed one: the Luna dude. For less than $50, you have a lot of bang for the dollar. A bargain. Komandirskie is built like the old American vietnam era field watches: cheap enough to acquire and use for a very busy rough and tumble work and lifestyle. Ww2 American field watches were made by the bushels and would have similar qualities. Ted Baldesar gave a more informative review stating all the positives, including a few negatives. It's a quirky watch with a huge fan base. The movements are plain for two reasons: keep cost low, and the watch is built for use and abuse. The wobbly stem was built for combat troops in mind so you don't break the stem. Rolex is built for fools who like to be parted from their money . Clever marketing. Swiss watches used to be tool watches now they deliberately brand thenselves as luxury watches to survive the quartz crisis created by Seiko. You don't like a Vostok, return it. Let the rest of us buy a Vostok and enjoy it for everyday use. Want to buy a Swiss watch you can afford? Buy a hamilton. People belly ache about Seiko or Miyota movements , but others will buy and enjoy them. Vostoks can be regulated. To maintain accuracy, you have to be active. That's the catch and caveat. Chinese watches in the past were condemned up until recently for poor quality control. Vostok is not made for you. It's made for everyone else. I own a Kirovskie crab watch that was made many decades ago and still runs. I own a Pobeda powered Sturnanskie, and it still runs. A. RAKETA as well and still runs. Are the case and lume top quality ? No. But i still love wearing them. All 3 are hand wound mechanical. You are comparing watches like some people compare a VW to a porsche or BMW. THEY each serve their type of buyer in their own way. But they are distinct per their fan base wants and desires.

    • @TheNomadsLens
      @TheNomadsLens 28 дней назад

      Well buddy, if you like Vostok, do buy them. I didn't like it and shared my opinion just like you shared yours. My problem is with fan boy who don't own them but demad I like them.

      You got this video in your feed as its so cool. You really should watch more of my videos it will help you make better videos. I didn't find any videos of your two Zodiacs, Oris in your My Watch Collection: Casio G-Shock, Oris, Citizen, Seiko and More! video but I did your your very bad video on G-Shock watches. Keep dreaming and stop buying cheap AliExpress watches.

      @@TheNomadsLens lol so cool? Ok my man keep believing your wrong information. I chose not to make videos for my Oris and Zodiac watches, and for my G-shock videos and Aliexpress watches, at least I am not trying to shit wrong information and still feel like a pro watch snob. lol. good day, it is so funny you getting triggered by each comment on you video LMAO...keep them coming and we will keep laughing :D

      Wow, it's amazing how some people can be so opinionated about things they've never even experienced firsthand. It's laughable that you think you're some kind of authority on watches just because you don't make videos about your Oris and Zodiac watches. How can you even compare them to G-shocks and Aliexpress knock-offs? You don't own them, you don't wear them, but you act like you know everything. The irony is that you're accusing me of spreading "wrong information" while you base your entire argument on assumptions and hearsay. And let's talk about getting "triggered"-the fact that you take the time to comment on every video just shows how much my content gets under your skin. If my videos are so laughable to you, why do you keep coming back? Maybe you should focus more on actually experiencing the watches you claim to know so much about instead of spewing nonsense in my comment section. Keep them coming? Please, the only joke here is your self-proclaimed expertise.

    Well, I also own a Komanderski and I have to say that there are either people on RUclips who love the watch or hate it and nothing in between. I'm a student and I personally love the watch. I can only speak from my point of view and yes I never had a watch that is worth over 200 dollars. But still, the tape is designed to hold and not to look good. I replaced it after a few weeks with a NATO strap and I would have worn the leather strap, or whatever it is, but still because it just tough as hell. Mine doesn't have the problem with the hands and runs at 30 seconds + a day, which is completely acceptable for me because I only paid 50 euros. I've gotten used to the crone and I think mine just looks really good. You have to keep in mind that this is an army watch that was built to withstand all kinds of things. The design has hardly changed in the 60 years and has probably been produced in the higher 7-digit quantities until now. I love mine, but thats just my opinion. :D

    The problem is the way you normally wind it is wrong. So stop doing it wrong and do it like you are winding a timepiece not wrenching on a car.

    Watching this video after I bought an 090679 Amphibia. I wanted a cheapie brass one like this and all you say about this is true. Lol that’s why I want it. Might be worth something after Russia is taken out. Not a fanboy, I’m too old for that stuff.

      Russia has been around since 900 ad. They survived mongols, tatars, Turks, all nasty people, even napoleonic France, hitlers Germany. So I am sure they will be around many years from now. I bought a few very old watches: kirovskie, sturmanskie, raketa, which still run. And yes, I will buy an Amphibia scuba dude and a Komandirskie. Quirky but tough as hell watches. Let's hope peace prevails so we can all buy time pieces of our choice and desire. Good day, mate.
